Flesh and Blood Road to Nationals 2021

We’re organizing a Flesh and Blood Road to Nationals 2021. The top 4 of the event wins a qualification for the National Tournament. There will also be awesome rewards, such as cold foils and playmats. Everyone that joins also receives 2x Monarch 1st Edition Boosters. Furthermore, we will also run a Monarch 1st edition sealed side-event.

The format for the Road To Nationals is Classic Constructed (60-card deck minimum), and will be played in-store (Viseu, Portugal). You’ll need to bring your own deck to play and compete. In case you need help with building a deck, come by our store and we will assist (we also sell singles!). Make sure to fill in the deck-registration sheet before arriving (ideally, printed to save time).

This event is available to everyone. We welcome players of all skill levels! We are sure that this is going to be a great day. Don’t forget, the game is still relatively new so we feel that everyone has a decent chance at reaching the top 8 and winning! If you do not reach the top 8, there will also be a side event you can join.

Covid-19 is ofcourse still a challenge. At this moment we expect to be able to host the Road to Nationals without too many restrictions. If this changes, we will update this page and notify everyone that already bought a ticket. Of-course, the standard covid rules apply, such as distancing, wearing face masks and disinfecting hands regularly.

11.00: Start 1st round (50 minutes)
12.00: Start 2nd round (50 minutes)

13.00: Small break (Not enough for a big lunch, but a quick meal is possible)

14.00: Start 3rd round (50 minutes)
15.00: Start 4th round (50 minutes)
16.00: Start 5th round (50 minutes)

17.30: Start Top-8 Cut 1st round
18.35: Start Top-8 2nd round (4 players)
19.40: Final round

17.30: Start of side-event (Monarch 1st edition sealed)

Entry fee will be 18 euro per person when buying the ticket online. Or 20 euro’s at the door. This includes participation & rewards. However, this does not include the Monarch 1st edition side-event (if you decide to join).

Do you want to join? Buy your ticket online (18 euro). You can also pay at the store (20 euro), but the road to nationals may be full.

FAQ

• I’m an international player, may I join? Yes! Anyone is welcome. The more the merrier 🙂
• I’m new to the game, should I join? We believe you should! It’s a great experience and it will be a fun day. The only thing we do ask, is that you have a deck ready and know how to play the game. Basically, know the rules and flow of the game and are able to finish a match in 50 minutes or less. If you have practiced a couple of games in our store or with friends, you should be able to join. Perhaps even reach the top 8 or win!
• What are the deck requirements? Visit the official website for information about Classic Constructed format. It has all the information you need.
• Do I need to register my card pool? Yes, card pool registration is required. Make sure to arrive on-time to allow for the registration. Card pool registration form can be found here: https://storage.googleapis.com/fabmaster/media/documents/FAB_Deck_Registration_fill.pdf
• Can I change cards between games? You can exchange cards between your deck and your sideboard between rounds. However, you may only swap cards in your deck with cards of your sideboard that are part of the card pool that you registered. Under no circumstance can you use cards from outside your card pool.
• Will there be a judge? Yes, there will be an official level 1 judge at the event.
• How many players are joining? We expect between 18 to 24 players.
• Can I use proxies? No, proxies are not allowed.
• What cards/sets can I use? All cards from the WTR, ARC, MON and CRU sets. Except Drone of Brutality as that card is banned. For more information see the official website.
