The White Castle Duel is a two-player strategy game where rival clans compete for influence in the court of the White Heron during the dawn of Portuguese trade in sixteenth-century Japan. Players manage lamp tokens to gain resources, activate actions, trade with newcomers, and build combos that generate icons such as flags, katanas, kabutos, and origami figures.
On each turn, players can buy or upgrade influence cards, place clan seals in gardens or training grounds, or move their courtier within circles of influence to unlock new opportunities. Strategic planning and precise timing are key to maximizing points and achieving victory.
With a playtime of approximately twenty to forty minutes, The White Castle Duel emphasizes tight interaction, thoughtful decision-making, and high replay value. The player with the most points at the end of the game claims triumph, making every move meaningful and engaging.
