The Fox Experiment is a board game for 1 to 4 players where you take on the role of scientists breeding domesticated foxes over several generations. Inspired by real historical experiments, players select parent foxes, roll trait dice and create pups with specific characteristics. By completing trait symbols, you mark them on your pup cards and earn tokens that can be used to upgrade your personal player board.
Each round represents a new generation, and the pups you create may become the parents for future rounds. The game is played over five rounds, with players scoring points for completing personal objectives, satisfying patrons, earning awards and upgrading their boards. Strategic planning and careful trait management are essential to success.
With a playtime of around sixty minutes, The Fox Experiment offers a satisfying mix of strategy and luck. Its engaging theme and clear progression make it a strong choice for players who enjoy thoughtful decision making and evolving gameplay systems.
