Seize power and outwit your rivals in Coup, the legendary card game of bluffing and deduction set in a corrupt Italian city-state. As the head of an ambitious family, your mission is to manipulate, bribe, and deceive your way to total dominance—forcing every other family into exile. In this quick-playing strategy game, only one family will survive.
Each player begins with two coins and two influence, represented by face-down character cards. Bluff your way through bold actions – like assassinating rivals or stealing their wealth – or call your opponents’ bluffs to expose their lies. But beware: one wrong challenge could cost you dearly.
Coup features five unique characters with powerful abilities: Duke, Assassin, Contessa, Captain, and Ambassador. Optional Inquisitor cards (included only in some editions) can replace Ambassadors for even more strategic variety. Build your fortune, execute coups, and stay one step ahead to be the last player standing.
