In Dragon Castle, two to four players take on the role of ambitious builders seeking to construct their own majestic castles from the remnants of an ancient stronghold. The game blends tile-drafting and pattern recognition in a setting inspired by mah‑jong, offering both strategy and visual appeal.
On each turn, players select pairs of identical tiles from the central castle and place them onto their personal board. Creating adjacent sets of matching tiles allows you to consolidate them, score points, and build shrines that provide bonus points while adding tactical restrictions. Spirit cards and a dragon card introduce special powers and objectives, enriching the strategic depth.
The game ends when the central castle is reduced to its ground floor. After a final scoring round, the player with the most points claims victory. With engaging mechanics, fast setup, and strong family appeal, Dragon Castle offers an elegant and satisfying experience for players aged eight and up.
